Strategic Category Development Lead

Job Description:

The Strategic Category Development Lead will play a key role in driving business growth by developing and implementing strategic plans for assigned categories. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals, improve market share, customer satisfaction, and productivity performance measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business plans for assigned categories to achieve sales, profit, and income goals.
  • Manage an optimum product mix that focuses on customers' needs.
  • Develop and implement promotional trade plans to bring excitement and incremental sales and profitability to stores.
  • Maintain strong supplier partner relationships to drive business growth.
  • Perform periodic range reviews to maximize sales and profitability performance.
  • Establish collaborative retailer/supplier relationships to maximize income/terms/discounts and improve sales and profitability of category.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including product inventory management processes.
  • Lead initiatives pertaining to assigned projects independently.
  • Review buying effectiveness to improve sales and profitability.
  • Partner with Commercial Heads and other stakeholders in key strategic planning for the business.
  • Extract and prepare weekly analysis reports for submission to Senior Management.
  • Participate in and communicate a culture of learning, teamwork, and sharing internally and externally with stores in Singapore.
