We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of MEP Drafter. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering to join our organization.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and coordinated technical drawings for various projects. They will work closely with engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and resolve any discrepancies that may arise.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in AutoCAD and apply your knowledge of local building codes and standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining organized drawing files and ensuring compliance with company standards and project specifications.

  • Prepare coordinated MEP drawings (plans, sections, details) based on design inputs and site conditions.
  • Develop shop drawings and as-built drawings for electrical, air-conditioning, fire sprinkler, and plumbing systems.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure drawing accuracy.
  • Incorporate revisions based on consultant/client feedback and ensure timely updates.
  • Maintain organized drawing files and drawing logs.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, company standards, and project specifications.
  • Assist in material take-offs (MTOs) or bill of quantities (BOQ) when required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in MEP drafting.
  • Experience in construction, engineering consultancy, or building services projects preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of MEP services layout, installation sequencing, and coordination principles.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and standards.
