MEP Drafter Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Drafter Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and documents for architectural and engineering projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with AutoCAD software and have experience in creating high-quality drawings and designs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality standards and will be able to work efficiently to ensure compliance with these standards.

Additionally, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to read, evaluate, and interpret mechanical/process designs and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Design: Utilize current AutoCAD software to create high-quality drawings and designs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards in CAD drawings.
  • Design Revision: Redesign drawings accordingly to mark-ups and specifications.
  • Review and Approval: Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
  • Translation and Conversion: Translate and convert hand drawings and sketches into CAD systems.
  • Mechanical/Process Designs: Read, evaluate, and interpret mechanical/process designs and drawings.
  • Methodology Development: Create and implement work methodologies and strategies.
  • Document Management: Document and update all drawings.
  • Shop Drawings and Integration: Produce shop drawings, as-built drawing, coordination, and integration of engineering and M&E drawings.
  • Revision Control: Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
  • Technical Support: Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years experience as a 2D CAD drafter in building & construction.
  • Skills: Proficient in MEP drawing, AutoCAD software, MS Office.
