Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Application Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and be able to effectively communicate with customers.

The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to customers, primarily through quotations and business development case studies. This position requires a high level of understanding of customer requirements and the ability to rapidly demonstrate how composite based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in the proposals.

This position involves working closely with engineering, sales, and operations staff to understand standard component fabrication techniques, standard composite materials to use, and current demands of our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and giving presentations on customer proposals, which includes 3D representations of finished goods, tooling, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Process & Instrumentation Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience. They should also possess knowledge in PLC programming, Pcvue or ICONICS software, and transportation composite or other composite experience would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer support by responding to requests for technical queries with detailed analysis of building management system, schedule of creation, tooling costing, and submittal of design and process improvements.
  • Works with engineering, sales, and ops staff to understand standard component fabrication techniques, standard composite materials to use, and current demands of our customers.
  • Creates and gives presentations on customer proposals, including 3D representations of finished goods, tooling, etc.
  • Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals.
  • Generates solid and surface component and assembly CAD models.
  • Composes detailed bill of materials for proposals.
  • Works as part of a team of design and engineering and ops staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Process & Instrumentation Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Knowledge in PLC programming, Pcvue or ICONICS software.
  • Transportation composite or other composite experience preferred.
