Transformative Youth Care Specialist

 

Dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support services, the Transformative Youth Care Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping the lives of at-risk adolescents. This position requires an individual with a profound commitment to fostering resilience, promoting self-awareness, and empowering young people to overcome adversity.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Duties and Supervision

Carefully oversee daily operational duties, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents at all times.

Support and Mentorship

Provide guidance and mentorship to residents, addressing day-to-day challenges and promoting discipline through positive role modeling.

Crisis Management and Therapeutic Interventions

Respond to crises or conflicts that may arise, and develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions based on comprehensive care plans.

Comprehensive Support

Deliver holistic support, encompassing physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs, ensuring residents' comprehensive well-being is prioritized.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience Working with At-Risk Youth

A proven track record of working with young people who have experienced trauma and adversity.

Basic Processing and Counselling Skills

The ability to provide effective support and guidance to residents using basic processing and counselling skills.

Knowledge of Trauma and Abuse Issues

An understanding of common issues and disorders associated with trauma and abuse, as well as knowledge of how to effectively address these challenges.

Flexibility and Adaptability

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, including rotating shifts and weekend/public holiday duties.
