Job Overview

Senior Technical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee the design and construction of high-performance vessels.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, as well as the ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments.

  • Oversee the technical integrity of vessel designs, ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the review and approval process for major equipment and material specifications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with classification societies, flag states, and regulatory bodies.
  • Resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with OEMs, clients, and certification authorities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical deliverables across all project phases, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure effective weight control, inclining experiments, and lightship surveys are conducted.
  • Define and oversee sea trial protocols, ensuring vessels meet performance benchmarks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in shipbuilding or marine engineering, with a focus on technical project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of classification society rules and flag state regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing technical aspects of complex marine projects.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
