Job Description

As a Senior Marine Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering successful shipbuilding projects. This dynamic position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with design requirements and specifications.

  • The Senior Marine Engineer will support commercial newbuilding and repair teams during tender exercises.
  • They will provide engineering support and collaborate with the marketing team to retain existing clients and secure new ones within the shipbuilding division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review contracts, technical documentation, and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Develop basic design concepts in line with newbuilding tenders.
  • Prepare drawing schedules and coordinate technical meetings with clients, classification societies, designers, vendors, and system integrators.
  • Implement newbuilding design and execute engineering production plans for awarded projects.
  • Interpret classification rules and maritime regulations, with the ability to read and understand design drawings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this challenging role, we require:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the marine or offshore industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Solid understanding of shipbuilding processes and project workflows, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and engage in discussions with clients.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations for technical meetings.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
