Job Description

About Child Protection Specialist Centre (CPSC): We are dedicated to providing quality home-based services and support to families and children experiencing abuse or severe neglect at home. Our goal is to empower families to reach their fullest potential and provide ongoing support through life's changes and challenges.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans.
  • Carry out social investigations, case formulations, and intervention planning.
  • Prepare timely reports and case recordings.
  • Implement safety and intervention plans.
  • Engage with families, parents/caregivers in meetings, sessions, coaching.
  • Develop wraparound services to support high-need families through advocacy, referrals, and collaboration.
  • Provide emotional support, guidance, and counseling to selected families/children/young persons.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work or a Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with child protection, mental health, and/or family violence issues.
  • Maturity, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to work with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to engage and work with children and adolescents.
  • Flexibility to work two nights a week and weekends occasionally.
