MINDS is a leading charity in Singapore that empowers Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and enhances their quality of life.
The organization has been caring for PWIDs since its inception, grounded in the belief that all PWIDs have innate abilities and talents.
MINDS offers a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs' lifespan, including schools, employment and training development centres, home-based care services, and community-based services.
A Physiotherapist plays a vital role in helping clients restore mobility, function, and independence through detailed assessments, individualised treatments, and manual therapy.
The ideal candidate will have initiative and be sensitive to the needs of her/his clients, working as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct client assessment and therapy planning
- Perform therapy interventions and client education
- Manage risk and quality
- Perform clinical administration and operations
- Participate in continuing education and research activities
The Physiotherapist will work closely with other professionals, including teachers, training officers, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.
Key Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy from an institution recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council is required.
Experience working with persons with autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.
