In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients and support them in developing and enhancing their daily living, community living, social, and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate for this position will have relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or epilepsy. A good command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is also required.

This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong partnerships with caregivers to better understand and support clients' needs and development. The successful candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and highly organized, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients under your care, both within the Day Activity Centre and during community outings.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate individual Care Plan Goals for each client.
  • Support clients in developing and enhancing their daily living, community living, social, and interpersonal skills.
  • Foster client independence and help them achieve a higher level of emotional maturity.
  • Maintain detailed records and clear communication on client progress.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), especially individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or epilepsy.
  • Good command of English – both written and spoken.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly organized.
  • Adaptable, willing to learn, and capable of working independently and in a team.
