**Country Manager Role Overview**
A country manager is required to lead our expansion across Greater China. This senior position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of postgraduate education in the region.
The ideal candidate will have experience in international education, recruitment, or higher education business development and a proven track record of success in market expansion and student recruitment in Greater China.
Key Responsibilities- Market Expansion & Student Recruitment: Drive student recruitment for postgraduate and executive education programmes across Greater China. Identify market entry strategies, growth opportunities, and emerging trends. Represent the organisation at education fairs, industry events, webinars, and partner engagements.
- Partnerships & Institutional Collaboration: Establish and manage partnerships with local universities, education agents, corporates, and government agencies. Negotiate articulation, dual-degree, or franchise agreements that align with strategic goals. Ensure programme offerings remain responsive to local market demands.
- Regulatory Compliance & Operations: Ensure full compliance with education, advertising, and data regulations in the region. Set up and oversee local operations or offices, including administrative and legal functions. Provide regular market insights, forecasts, and business reports to HQ.
- Marketing & Brand Building: Localise and execute marketing and outreach campaigns in coordination with the HQ team. Build a strong local brand presence through digital marketing, alumni engagement, and media outreach. Organise info sessions, preview events, and strategic campaigns to increase brand visibility and conversions.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international education, recruitment, or higher education business development.
- Proven success in market expansion and student recruitment in Greater China.
- Deep understanding of the education and regulatory landscape in China.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills (Mandarin and English proficiency preferred).
- Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Willigness to travel regionally as required.
- A leadership role with high-impact position to shape the organisation's presence in Greater China.
