Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to become a pivotal part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to meet security goals, focusing on return on investment and the effectiveness of existing controls.
  • Facilitate discussions to strategize and coordinate security infrastructure initiatives.
  • Oversee the deployment of enterprise-level security frameworks, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Network Intrusion and Prevention Systems (NIPS), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Systems, which encompasses contractor management, design validation, and testing acceptance.
  • Engage in security operations to ensure compliance with established information security policies and standards, adapting to emerging security threats.
  • Direct and conduct security evaluations of systems, including configuration reviews, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Provide expert consultancy on threat and risk assessments throughout the system lifecycle, from implementation to ongoing maintenance.
  • Supervise the upkeep of enterprise security infrastructures, ensuring service reliability and security posture maintenance.
  • Develop correlation rules within the SIEM system to identify anomalies or security threats through continuous monitoring.
  • Establish disaster recovery protocols and lead security breach drills.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Security Consultancy or Security Engineering.
  • Proficiency in deploying security solutions such as SIEM, NIPS, and EDR Systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, complemented by a collaborative team spirit.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, including Linux/Unix and Windows.
  • Experience in incident response and forensic analysis is a plus.
  • Relevant security certifications such as GCDA, GCED, CISSP, or CISM.
  • Soft skills and attributes including:
  • The ability to advocate for new initiatives and present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Capability to conceptualize operational frameworks for new projects.
  • Understanding of the tendering process and requirement definition in tender specifications.
  • Ability to lead discussions among internal teams (Operations, Security, Contract) and external partners or system integrators.
  • Minimal supervision required from management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, demonstrating strong analytical, management, and planning skills.
  • A dynamic mindset with effective analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
