Job Role

A Senior Assistant Director/Deputy Director position is available for a highly skilled professional to lead the Career Development and Transition team. The role involves developing strategies, policies, programmes, processes, and systems to meet workforce development needs and drive organisational transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Career Development and Transition team in areas such as workforce development, partnership engagement, and organisational change management.
  2. Build strategic partnerships with public and private agencies, unions, and training institutions to drive adoption and implementation of career development strategies and programmes.
  3. Serve as a trusted partner to Public Service Officers to build their careers, create an agile and future-ready workforce.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Career Development: Develop and implement career development strategies, frameworks, and programmes to help employees build meaningful careers within and beyond the Public Service.
  • Training and Development: Identify learning needs and create/curate meaningful interventions and strategies to develop a capable workforce.
  • Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgement: Make rational and ethical judgments after considering socio-political and economic environments, with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Working Effectively with Stakeholders: Develop a people-centric culture by implementing systems to collect feedback and provide supporting interventions to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Serving with Heart, Commitment, and Purpose: Walk the ground to understand stakeholders' key needs and concerns, develop clear strategies, and introduce systems to monitor progress.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of work experience in related areas including policy, human resources, career development, and partnership engagement.
