Business Development Manager Job Description

Role Overview:

This role has been designed to primarily work from a partner/customer office, with an expectation of developing strong relationships and driving business growth through collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop deep understanding of partners' priorities and transformation journeys, and position our solutions to support their journeys.
  • Drive partners' preference towards our solutions and enable them to posture our differentiation and value propositions to their customers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and expert to partners on market trends/opportunities and collaborate to drive differentiation and joint wins in the market place.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with partners to grow our share of wallet and influence resources (sales, presales, marketing funds etc) to sell our solutions.
  • Achieve key business metrics including storage and aaS indirect order targets.
  • Formulate strategies to retain and develop partners through loyalty programs, regular engagement and joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Acquire competitive partners through technology evangelism, increased engagement, enablement, competitive takeout initiatives and joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Be a trusted partner to support partners' transformation to aaS selling and drive aaS opportunities.
  • Develop joint go-to-market initiatives aligned to our and partners' priorities with a specialized focus to grow storage and aaS. Set clear goals and continuously track program effectiveness.
