Overview:

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a team of culinary professionals and showcase your expertise in Japanese cuisine. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing kitchen team, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Develop innovative menus and recipes that blend authentic Japanese flavors with local tastes.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards for all dishes, from ingredient selection to final presentation.
  • Optimize kitchen profitability by managing inventory, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure the kitchen adheres to strict food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant manager to enhance the overall dining experience and address customer feedback.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior leadership role in a Japanese restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of authentic Japanese cooking techniques, including sushi, tempura, sashimi, and other traditional dishes.
  • A strong passion for Japanese cuisine and a deep understanding of its culinary philosophy.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse team.
  • Relevant culinary certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Japanese or a strong understanding of the language to communicate with staff and suppliers.
  • Food hygiene certification.

Employment Details:

  • Location: Heart, Singapore.
  • Working Hours: 44 hours per week, 6 days off monthly.
  • Benefits: Annual leave, medical benefits, etc.
  • Salary Range: S$3500 - S$6000 per month (commensurate with experience).
