Job Title: Guest Service Ambassador

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Establish a positive connection with guests through personalized communication prior to their arrival, ensuring a tailored experience throughout their stay.
  • Provide warm welcomes, acknowledging each guest's presence with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, using their name when possible.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of guests, asking questions to understand their requirements and preferences, and acting upon them whenever feasible.
  • Listen attentively and respond promptly to guest queries, concerns, and requests, utilizing relevant brand or property-specific knowledge to resolve issues and build trust.
  • Address guest service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
  • Engage with guests in conversation regarding their stay, property amenities, and local attractions, including social media where appropriate.
  • Assist colleagues to ensure adequate coverage and prompt guest service.
  • Stay up-to-date on local area information to provide informed recommendations for guests.
  • Communicate recommendations effectively, building excitement and interest among guests and associates.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Update guest preferences on the Property Management System (PMS) and GXP platform for future stays.
  • Encourage non-member guests to enroll in Marriott Bonvoy.
  • Engage guests in conversations about their stay, property services, and local attractions, including social media where suitable.
  • Express genuine appreciation to guests and provide a heartfelt farewell.
Quality Standards and Expectations
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
  • Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately to management.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions, reporting them to management and security/safety personnel.
  • Use proper equipment, wear personal protective gear, and employ correct lifting techniques to avoid injury.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Candidate should possess at least a Professional Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in Hotel's Executive Lounge is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Able to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Proficient in using hotel computer systems (e.g., Opera, Micros).
  • Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to perform rotating shift duties, including overnight shifts.
  • Flexible and able to start work within short notice periods.
