Job Title: Innovative Product Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled and innovative product specialist to lead the development of new recipes and products that meet our high standards for quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new recipes and modify existing ones through experimentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Establish sensory panels and testing sessions to gather data and feedback on product prototypes, driving innovation and growth.
• Consolidate data and information for new product specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Formulate food production standards and standard operating procedures, enhancing efficiency and innovation in our kitchens.
• Recommend process improvements or changes to equipment or manufacturing processes to boost productivity and quality.
• Modify new product recipes and ingredient selection while considering nutrition, shelf life, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish product specifications and documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across teams.
• Confirm product formulations and other information for constructing product profiles, meeting customer expectations.
• Review methods to improve the quality of new baked products and compliance with food regulations during mass production, maintaining our high standards.
• Develop ideas from preparation processes for marketing purposes, driving sales and growth.
• Develop product improvements based on sensory testing and data analysis, delivering exceptional results.
• Facilitate innovation and lead team leaders to implement change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Refine recipe formulation for mass production purposes, ensuring scalability and consistency.
• Review ingredients to meet customer needs and requirements, providing tailored solutions.
• Ability to review alternative ingredients and food preparation processes to meet mass production and compliance needs, driving efficiency and innovation.
• Make recommendations for changes to new & existing food production processes, enhancing our operations and quality.
• Organise and conduct Train the trainer and on-the-job training sessions locally and within SEA regions' production and retail kitchens, upskilling our teams.
• Follow up on yearly refreshment training schedule, ensuring ongoing learning and development.
• Troubleshoot production processes to resolve production, quality, and regulatory compliance issues, maintaining our high standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Good sensory skills to evaluate flavours and create recipes for new products, delivering exceptional taste experiences.
• Excellent knowledge of production systems, food costing, ordering, and inventory management, ensuring efficient operations.
• Possess capability to lead, motivate, and manage subordinates, inspiring and guiding our teams.
• Sound knowledge/understanding of cultural and culinary trends, staying ahead of the curve.
• Creative in developing and presenting products, driving innovation and growth.
• HACCP certified and other food safety regulations are required, ensuring our commitment to quality and safety.
• Good command of spoken English, effective communication and collaboration.
• PC literate with knowledge in MS Office, proficient in technology and tools.
