About the Retail Department
The Retail function is dedicated to providing tailored financial solutions for both Personal and Business Banking customers. Our goal is to assist clients in managing their finances effectively and achieving their financial aspirations through a diverse array of products and services, including deposits, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, as well as investment and wealth advisory services.
Personal Financial Services Overview
We develop and offer products and services designed to enhance our customers' banking experience while maximizing the value they derive from their finances. Our focus is on fostering and promoting sound saving and investment habits across generations.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Client Acquisition Team, your primary role will be to attract high-net-worth clients for UOB Privilege Banking and Privilege Reserve . You will collaborate closely with Privilege Banking Client Advisors (CAs) and Privilege Reserve Senior Client Advisors (SCAs) to deliver a comprehensive Total Wealth Management experience to both new and existing affluent clients.
- Lead the acquisition of high-net-worth clients with Assets Under Management of $350,000 and above, utilizing tele-prospecting, networking, and exclusive events.
- Facilitate account openings and promote a range of exclusive deposit products and services.
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for new clients to mitigate risks associated with money laundering.
- Engage with Banca First Touch (BFT) for all new clients as part of a holistic onboarding experience, introducing concepts of legacy planning.
- Ensure timely and efficient processing of account openings and related matters.
- Adhere to compliance and legal guidelines in accordance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Deliver exceptional service and enhance portfolio coverage through advisory of wealth and deposit products.
- Provide financial advisory services and tailored investment solutions to affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of UOB's product offerings and effectively communicate this information to clients.
- Assess clients' financial objectives and risk tolerance in a regulated environment.
- Offer clients timely information, advice, and recommendations to meet their financial needs.
Job Requirements
- A recognized university degree.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services sector, particularly in financial and investment product sales.
- Strong knowledge of wealth management and investment products.
- Self-motivated with a robust sales drive and enthusiasm.
- Proven track record of excellence in performance.
- Relevant professional accreditation (M1B, M5, M6, M6A, M8, M8A, M9, M9A HI).
- Experience and ability to engage with clients from diverse markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and China.
