Technical Officer: Maintenance and Operations Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Officer to join our team in the maintenance and operations of equipment and plant ancillaries. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out regular inspections, annual overhauls, servicing, and maintenance of equipment and plant ancillaries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in the oil and gas or refinery industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular inspections, annual overhauls, servicing, and maintenance of equipment and plant ancillaries.
  • Allocate manpower and supervise staff in carrying out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works under their charge.
  • Assist in monitoring and replenishment of spares in the store and purchase of essential spares for maintenance works.
  • Maintain proper filling and documentation of administrative, maintenance, and service works.
  • Ensure safety in maintenance and service works carried out by staff and contractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the oil and gas or refinery industry.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
