About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and electrical systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular inspections of packaging/conveying equipment, facilities, and electrical systems
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance on packaging equipment and facilities
- Diagnosing and resolving faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on various equipment
- Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensuring quick recovery to operational status
- Utilizing Predictive Maintenance to analyze and minimize equipment downtime
- Effectively using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to investigate part failures
- Organizing and executing planned shutdown maintenance
- Leading a team of maintenance technicians and coordinating with vendors for fabrication work
- Managing the inventory of critical spare parts for equipment
- Overseeing and documenting the commissioning of new equipment
- Recording maintenance activities on works orders and providing daily updates to superiors
- Generating and preparing reports for management presentations
- Procuring parts from service vendors as necessary
- Assessing risks and hazards associated with maintenance jobs
- Guiding the team in Root Cause Analysis and collaborating with the Operational Team on Failure Analysis
- Leading projects aimed at continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to new technicians
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and electrical systems
- A strong understanding of Predictive Maintenance and CMMS systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver's license
