Job Title

Electrical Power System Leader

Job Description:

The role involves leading electrical power system design, integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities to support operations and project execution for offshore substation (OSS) and/or floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessels.

  • Oversee the safe and reliable operation of electrical power systems including SCADA system in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop technical documents and drawings according to project requirements, class society rules, and local mandatory regulations.
  • Review and approve electrical design deliverables and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and vendors.
  • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for electrical engineering projects to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance during procurement activities and lead testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities for electrical power systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification is preferred. The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in electrical power engineering with a focus on marine and offshore projects, particularly OSS & FPSO vessels.

  • Proven experience in electrical power engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design software and tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, EPLAN, Power Factory, PSCAD or equivalent programs.
  • Experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, effective communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with class society rules, regulatory requirements, and industry standards applicable to FPSO electrical systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging offshore environment with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental protection.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
