Job Overview

You are invited to apply for a challenging role as an Electrical Power Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for working closely with Rail Operators to develop a deep understanding of the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) issues related to the design of Singapore's Rail Transit System's lines.

Your scope of work includes reviewing the design of medium voltage power systems, railway traction power systems, low voltage reticulation schemes, and investigating incidents. You will also provide engineering support in witnessing the testing, commissioning, and handing over of new assets to the Rail Operators.

To ensure that the RTS assets under your Division's charge are properly maintained by the Rail Operator, you will work closely with them to optimize the costs and benefits of assets for their life cycle management. This includes informing decisions on asset refurbishment, renewal, or life extension.

Required Skills & Qualifications

">
  • Knowledge in Electrical Power Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in design, installation, operation, and maintenance of services and electrical installations up to and including 22kV; 1500V DC and 750V DC traction power supply systems and 400/230V reticulation systems
  • Knowledge of railway work environment and relevant safety requirements
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
