Role Overview

The Management Information Desk (MID) serves as a central hub for key business analysis in the APAC region. Key responsibilities include preparing feasibilities for new hires and exiting employees, restructuring and scenario analysis, new business investment proposals, management of the hiring pipeline, and standardization of processes and procedures to ensure informed decision making and optimal regional performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide timely and accurate contract summaries and P&L models for new hires, renewals, and employee exits, presenting the financial impact to assist management decision making.
  2. Maintain the CRF tracking file and advise on the status of CRFs at any point in the approval process, producing statistics on CRFs in aggregated fashion across multiple metrics as requested.
  3. Work with HR to ensure contracts are prepared in accordance with CRF guidelines, chase up signed contracts in a timely fashion, and maintain a complete database of contracts for easy access.
  4. Prepare post-hire performance analysis and communicate to management at set intervals after the start date to facilitate appropriate action.
  5. Administer and manage the APAC regional hiring pipeline, having a strong working knowledge of contractual terms and assisting with modeling and analysis needed for negotiations.
  6. Refresh and send monthly management packs to MDs in APAC, working with finance to ensure the GL is closed prior to refresh and ensuring regional consistency of key performance indicator metrics.
  7. Prepare Executive committee packs for APAC and Group meetings, ensuring insightful commentary and analysis.
  8. Maintain datasets and databases used by MID for reporting and analysis.
  9. Prepare accurate and timely ad-hoc analysis as requested by manager, APAC GB Head, COO, and MDs.
  10. Build strong working relationships with MDs, Desk Managers, and support teams to achieve respect and trust in the role.

  5. Displays excellent written and oral communication skills and is articulate with attention to detail.
  6. Strong Excel skills or ability to learn quickly on the job, with a self-starting attitude.
  7. Basic understanding of P&L, BS, and Cashflow, and understands how a chart of accounts feeds into financial statements.
  8. Ability to interrogate financial systems and seek answers when data is not as it should be or forthcoming.
  9. Ability to manage monthly management reporting packs production in an autonomous fashion.
  10. Good written communication skills in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  11. Minimum of a bachelor's degree qualification in accounting, finance, or business required.

Desired:

  1. Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
  2. Strong personal organizational skills with the ability to deliver under pressure with tight deadlines.
  3. Experience working in an accounting team in a junior accounting capacity is preferred.
  4. Ability to communicate with all levels of management, including C-level executives.
  5. Experience with an Inter-Dealer-Broker or Trading bank would be preferable.
