Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our barbeque offerings. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented culinary professional to showcase their expertise and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development & Innovation:
    • Create, design, and update seasonal menus that incorporate bold flavors and innovative techniques using woodfire cooking methods.
    • Develop special menu items that highlight the restaurant's unique offerings, including dishes prepared with grilling and smoking techniques.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, train, and mentor a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a collaborative work environment that emphasizes continuous learning and improvement.
    • Ensure the kitchen staff is well-versed in woodfire cooking techniques, maintaining a high level of culinary knowledge and expertise.
  • Quality Control & Food Safety:
    • Maintain strict standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene within the kitchen at all times.
    • Monitor food quality and consistency, ensuring that all dishes meet the restaurant's high standards before reaching the guests.
  • Inventory & Cost Management:
    • Manage inventory levels, control food costs, and minimize waste by optimizing kitchen operations.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients, particularly fresh meats, vegetables, and wood for grilling.
  • Collaboration & Guest Experience:
    • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless communication between the kitchen and dining area.
    • Participate in live cooking demonstrations and guest interactions to enhance the dining experience.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Plan kitchen workflows to ensure efficient food preparation while maintaining high standards of quality.
    • Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality for woodfire and grilling operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene is required.
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in a barbeque or woodfire-focused dining establishment.
  • Creative culinary skills, with the ability to design and execute innovative menus.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and sanitation regulations.
Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is SGD $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
