The Role: Lead Culinary Specialist - BBQ Cuisine

This position is responsible for overseeing the production, preparation, and presentation of all BBQ dishes within their section, ensuring the highest possible quality at all times. The successful candidate will be expected to inspect food preparation areas, adhering to the hotel's safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to oversee food production quality and cost control within the department.
  • Verify the accuracy of ingredients ordered, ensuring quality, quantity, and weight meet the established standards.
  • Spearhead the creation and enhancement of BBQ menu items, address guest complaints, and devise strategies for improvement.
  • Assist in the production, preparation, and presentation of all BBQ dishes, including customized orders and sauces.
  • Uphold cleanliness, organization, and food hygiene standards in the kitchen environment.
  • Ensure proper closure of equipment such as gas, water, and electricity, as well as secure refrigerators and aisle entrances.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to team members to foster growth and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BBQ chef, including 1 year in a supervisory role within a luxury hotel or Michelin restaurant.
  • Proficient in Cantonese BBQ Cuisine.
  • Eager to enhance management abilities within the hospitality sector.
  • Demonstrates positivity, creativity, and adeptness in guiding others.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Schedule & Hours:

This position requires a person with a flexible schedule and the ability to work on a rotating split-shift basis, including weekends, and holidays.
