Nuclear Medicine Technologist Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team and contribute to the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, performing daily quality checks on gamma cameras, and ensuring that all procedures are carried out in accordance with established protocols.

You will also be responsible for dispensing radioisotopes, administering radioisotope tracer injections, and maintaining accurate records of quality checks and radiopharmaceutical data.

Furthermore, you will participate in pharmacologic stress tests under the supervision of physicians and contribute to research programs as required. You will also be expected to adhere to radiation safety guidelines at all times.

Clinical training will be provided to successful candidates who meet the necessary qualifications.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must hold a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Radiography, or Radiation Therapy, and possess a valid R1 License from the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Department. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Applicants without measles and diphtheria vaccinations may apply, but they must undertake to complete the vaccination(s) before commencing work.
