Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing imaging procedures on patients to aid in diagnostic interpretation. This involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating gamma cameras, and processing image data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for imaging procedures
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals as required
  • Operating gamma cameras to capture high-quality images
  • Processing image data to ensure accuracy and quality

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Diagnostic Radiography, as well as a valid R1 License from the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Department. Strong communication skills and a team player mentality are essential for this role.

In addition to these qualifications, applicants must provide documented proof of vaccination against measles, mumps, and rubella, as well as diphtheria and pertussis.
