Data Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to fill the role of Data Compliance Specialist.
This position involves providing expert advice on data privacy and protection laws, reviewing and drafting contracts, and supporting internal compliance processes.
About the Role:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, data transfers, and cross-border compliance issues is required.
- Strong knowledge of global data privacy regulations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders are necessary.
- Commercial acumen and practical business-focused legal advice are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on compliance with data privacy and protection laws across multiple jurisdictions.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating data processing agreements, vendor contracts, and cross-border transactions.
Requirements:
- Data Privacy Expertise: In-depth understanding of global data privacy regulations and their application in various industries.
- Contract Review and Negotiation: Experience in reviewing and negotiating complex contracts, including data processing agreements and vendor contracts.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, including business leaders and external partners.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide practical business-focused legal advice.
