About the Role
As a key professional in driving business expansion, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new opportunities through targeted outreach and partnerships. Your network and portfolio of existing clients will also be leveraged to generate referrals for new business opportunities.
You will attend industry events to stay informed about the latest trends and forge connections within target segments. Maintaining a specific number of accounts, building strong relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction across the portfolio are essential responsibilities.
Main Objectives
- Penetrate deep into B2B, B2C, e-commerce, and online selling communities to serve businesses with international customer bases or those sourcing goods across borders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold outreach and partnerships.
- Generate referrals for new business opportunities from your existing network and assigned portfolio of merchants.
- Maintain a specified number of accounts, build strong relationships, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across the portfolio.
- Drive greater uptake of products within the account portfolio.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience working within B2B payments or commercial banking.
- Cross-border payments or commercial cards experience is required.
- A motivated individual with a proven track record of self-generating leads selling to business owners and/or the C-suite.
- Solutions-oriented approach to building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Effective communication skills via telephone, email, and face-to-face using active listening skills and good presentation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, process-driven with outreach and engagement cadences.
- Ability to handle tough conversations, overcome objections, and deal with customer dissatisfaction.
- Skilled in time management, task management, and problem-solving.
- A collaborator who works with related functions to best support client needs.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and adapt to new product knowledge quickly.
This position requires a mid-senior level professional with full-time employment and a focus on sales, business development, and general business functions.
