Family Support Specialist

About this role, we are dedicated to providing high-quality home-based services and support to families and children who are experiencing abuse or severe neglect at home.
- Our key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments and safety planning, carrying out social investigations, assessments, case formulation, intervention planning, timely preparation of reports and case recordings, implementing safety and intervention plans, conducting meetings, sessions, coaching with families, parents/caregivers, developing wraparound services to support high-need families through advocacy, referrals, and collaboration, providing emotional support, guidance/brief counselling to selected families/children/young persons, and providing supervision for social workers.
Requirements:
- A degree in Social Work or a degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- At least 3-5 years of experience working with and providing supervision working with child protection, mental health, and/or family violence issues.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Maturity, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to work with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
- The ability to engage and work with children and adolescents.
- Preparedness to work two nights a week and weekends occasionally.
