Job Title: Payment Associate, Payment Operations

ASIA GULF CLOUD PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Payment Associate to join our team in Payment Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of daily payment operations, including inward/outward remittances, interbank domestic transfers, and internal fund transfers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-processing validations for transactions submitted outside the system to ensure accuracy and completeness before processing.
  • Perform daily payment operations, including inward/outward remittances, interbank domestic transfers, and internal fund transfers.
  • Perform end-of-day transactions reconciliation and liaise with corresponding bank and/or customers on discrepancy, delay or non-receipt of funds.
  • Conduct investigations to resolve payment-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Prepare ad-hoc and monthly reports for Head Office, regulatory or internal reporting.
Nostro Account Reconciliation:
  • Perform daily reconciliation of nostro accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner to prevent operational delays.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports on breaks and resolutions for management review.
Risk Management and Controls:
  • Maintain a risk-averse approach and sensitivity to risks inherent in payment processing.
  • Adhere to internal controls and procedures to mitigate operational and compliance risks.
  • Ensure all payment transactions adhere to regulatory requirements.
System Development Projects:
  • Support the implementation of system enhancements such as ISO20022 and regulatory projects.
  • Design and establish processing workflows and reporting mechanisms.
  • Assist in user requirement collection for system development projects.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support system migration and development efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payment operations within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of cross-border payments, SWIFT messaging, and remittance procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially excel formulas, pivot table, charts
  • Able to work independently when under pressure with high volume transactions and currencies cutoff time.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to payment transactions (e.g., AML/KYC).
  • Experience with system enhancements and development projects.
  • Strong senses of risk control and management.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma process improvement methodologies and/or experience leveraging analytics for decision-making is advantageous.
