Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payments Processing Specialist to join our Payments & Transaction Services team. In this role, you will manage and execute various payment processing tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will be a key player in maintaining the integrity of our payment systems and providing top-notch service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Management: Oversee the end-to-end processing of various payment types, including eGiro, G3 processing, managing and reconciling nostro breaks, and electronic funds transfers.
  • Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies, errors, or issues in a timely manner. Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal departments to address and rectify payment-related concerns.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor payment processing systems and platforms for performance, security, and operational effectiveness. Assist in troubleshooting system issues and coordinating with IT for resolution.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of payment transactions and related documentation. Generate and analyze reports to track payment trends, performance metrics, and operational efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of payment processing operations.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional service to clients by addressing inquiries related to payment transactions, processing timelines, and account-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in payments processing, financial operations, or a related role within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of payment processing systems, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with financial software or payment processing platforms.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
