Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system that complies with local and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety performance, including incident reports, audit findings, and training records.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire evacuation procedures and first aid policies.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
  • Registration as a WSHO (Workplace Safety and Health Officer) with MOM (Ministry of Manpower) and ECO (Environment Council) with NEA (National Environment Agency).
  • Proven track record of improving health and safety performance in a previous role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with local and international health and safety regulations and standards.
