Occupational Safety and Health Professional

The Workplace Safety and Health Officer plays a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment. Key responsibilities include identifying and assessing foreseeable risks, recommending measures to eliminate or minimize risks, investigating incidents/accidents, administering an effective Safety and Health Management System, conducting Environmental, Health and Safety Audits, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health ordinances/orders, preparing EHS training for employees, and measuring and monitoring WSH performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess foreseeable risks to persons at work or affected by the occupier's undertaking.
- Recommend reasonably practicable measures to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Investigate incidents/accidents and advise on remedial measures to prevent recurrence.
- Administer and implement an effective Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
- Conduct Environmental, Health and Safety Audits as per OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health and environmental ordinances/orders.
- Prepare and conduct EHS training for employees.
- Measure and monitor WSH performance and discuss in WHS committee meetings.
Requirements:
- Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor's Degree in Workplace Safety and Health.
- MOM registered WSH Officer.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in construction sector.
