Job Title

Highly skilled pastry chefs sought for leadership roles in hotel kitchens.

This is a key opportunity to join our team as a Pastry Junior Sous Chef and take on the challenge of managing kitchen operations, overseeing daily activities and ensuring exceptional pastry products and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food preparation meets high standards and maintain quality control at all times.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members responsible for pastries and desserts.
  • Develop innovative ideas for new pastry dishes and menu items.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock rotation and ordering processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in cool rooms, fridges, freezers and dry store areas.
  • Prepare food according to standard recipes to maintain product consistency and cost control.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Attend all briefings and participate in regular training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and strong team player with ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar role with proven track record of success.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to multitask effectively.
  • Familiarity with HACCP requirements and knowledge of health and safety rules and procedures.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines and pressure.
