Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences at a fine dining wine bistro specializing in Western cuisine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations including opening and closing procedures.
  • Evaluate and implement operational standards and procedures for efficient performance.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to improve employee skills.
  • Foster a positive work environment and maintain team morale.
  • Ensure proper staff training on food safety, customer service, and company policies.
  • Assist with scheduling and administrative tasks as needed to support the restaurant's growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations and incidents.
  • Support implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective wine programs, including wine selection, inventory management, and wine list accuracy.
  • Ensure proper wine storage, handling, and service standards.
  • Collaborate with the sommelier on menu pairings and special events to enhance the dining experience.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the restaurant.
  • Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Develop strategies to enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in Western cuisine establishments.
  • Fine dining experience is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing upscale restaurant operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, bilingual capabilities.
  • Understanding of local food service regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience managing wine programs and beverage operations in fine dining settings.
  • Wine knowledge and certifications are preferred.
  • Prefer Singapore Citizen or PR.
