Relationship Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Relationship Manager. This is a regulated position that requires the individual to be appointed as a representative under the Financial Advisers Act (FAA) and/or Securities and Futures Act (SFA).

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in relationship management, private banking, or regulated financial advisory. They must be responsible for acquiring, managing, and deepening relationships with high-net-worth clients from Asia, providing suitable wealth management solutions in line with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

  • Acquire, manage, and grow a portfolio of Accredited and Institutional Investors from Asia.
  • Provide advice on investment products, collective investment schemes, and other financial instruments, in compliance with FAA/SFA regulations.
  • Ensure all advisory activities are suitable, well-documented, and in the best interest of clients.
  • Stay current with MAS regulations, macroeconomic trends, and new financial product developments.
  • Liaise effectively with compliance, legal, and risk functions to ensure proper client onboarding, AML/CFT measures, and ongoing surveillance.
  • Prepare and maintain proper records of recommendations, risk profiling, investment rationale, and client reviews as required under MAS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic plans to expand and deepen relationships with high-net-worth clients from Asia.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
  3. Conduct regular client reviews and provide tailored investment advice to ensure alignment with their financial goals and risk tolerance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in relationship management, private banking, or regulated financial advisory.
  • Proven success with Asian clients; familiarity with regional regulatory norms and client expectations.
  • Strong product knowledge across investment, treasury, structured, and wealth planning products.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to serve Asian client needs.
