Key Engineering Role

Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to provide support for shipbuilding projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with our marketing department to promote shipbuilding services and engage with clients to understand their needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing engineering support to ensure the retention of existing clients and seeking new clients for shipbuilding.
  • Assisting in commercial newbuilding and ship repair tender exercises for newbuilding and conversion projects.
  • Reviewing contract, technical, and equipment specifications to meet design obligations.
  • Generating basic design concepts to align with new building tenders.
  • Promoting drawing schedules and arranging technical meetings with clients, classification agencies, designers, vendors, and system integrators.
  • Executing new building design and engineering production plans for awarded new building projects.
  • Interpreting classification rules and maritime regulations, and possessing the ability to read design drawings.

Requirements:

  • A degree in marine or naval architecture or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in marine or offshore industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding basic shipbuilding and project processes, comprehending technical specifications, and engaging in client discussions.
  • Demonstrating analytical ability, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Traveling to Indonesia, Taiwan, and other countries for technical meetings.
  • Bilingual (English and Mandarin).

About This Role

This role involves providing engineering support to ensure the retention of existing clients and seeking new clients for shipbuilding. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine or naval architecture and be proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing team to promote shipbuilding services and engage with clients to understand their needs.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to travel frequently for technical meetings.
