Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee various aspects of shipbuilding projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in handling engineering projects in the marine and/or offshore industry, a degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, and strong planning and project management skills.

  • Coordinate meetings with clients and other key stakeholders to discuss project progress, milestones, and potential risks.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify risks or delays, reporting them to the Project Manager.
  • Effectively participate in meetings with clients, external designers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings and draft timely project status reports for various stakeholders.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes to oversee and coordinate various aspects of shipbuilding projects.
  • Provide technical inputs during design reviews and support the resolution of project challenges as they arise.
  • Ensure proper document control processes in coordination with the Document Controller and ensure compliance with ISO standards and company processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in handling engineering projects in the marine and/or offshore industry.
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Good planning and project management skills.
  • Good communication skills (in English) and interpersonal relationships.
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding or offshore industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to prepare reports and update key stakeholders on the drawing status.
  • General understanding of key statutory regulations and classification requirements.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Projects, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with Aveva Marine software is desirable but not mandatory.
