**Job Overview**

As a skilled mechanical engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our shipbuilding and repair projects. Your expertise will be crucial in planning, coordinating, and executing projects to meet safety, quality, and schedule standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings to plan tools, equipment, and material take off
  • Prepare project schedules and input manpower loading
  • Coordinate shipbuilding and repair work with safety, quality, and as per schedule
  • Manage people and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, on time and within budget
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards on board the vessel and in the workshop

Requirements:

  • Strong background in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in shipbuilding and repair, inclusive of material take off and project management
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Able to manage people and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Understanding of ships' structure and general knowledge of marine machineries
