Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach horse riding lessons in a safe and enjoyable manner for students of all levels.
  • Assist riders with their progress, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of rider progress and lesson plans.
  • Contribute to the development of our riding programs and services.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to improve teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Report any issues or concerns related to horse welfare or behavior.

Stable Management Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the stables and horses are clean and well-maintained on a daily basis.
  • Order feed and bedding supplies as needed.
  • Support grooms in their duties and provide training as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections of tack and equipment to ensure it is in good condition.
  • Manage inventory of tack and equipment, making recommendations for replacements or additions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of horse care and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Possess a British Horse Society's Assistant Instructor (BHS AI) Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show a passion for teaching and working with horses.
