  • Conduct research on the assigned portfolio of markets and identify key findings that have implications for the Singapore business community.
  • Produce country briefs and talking points for internal stakeholders.
  • Operationalize activities aimed at building awareness of portfolio markets, including symposiums, business forums, roundtables, seminars/webinars, workshops, and outgoing business missions/overseas market workshop trips.
  • Engage Singapore companies for their international growth plans and assist in making appropriate introductions to potential overseas counterparts and facilitate discussions.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with local and overseas market entry partners to build our ecosystem and strengthen our capabilities and knowledge in the overseas markets.
  • Provide market advisory, B2B matching, and follow-up on leads to achieve optimal KPI outcomes.
  • Curate and plan activities to drive market awareness and sectoral opportunities for Singapore companies in the overseas markets.
  • Build positive relationships and provide secretariat support where necessary for key stakeholders, including business council/business group members, trade associations, and chambers in Singapore/overseas markets and SBF members.

  • Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in international business development or international marketing with experience in Southeast Asia markets.
  • Excel in a target-driven environment.
  • Good understanding of business processes and organizational disciplines.
  • Ability to assess business performance and strategies through analyses of financial reports.
  • Good writing skills for country briefs and talking points.
  • Ability to research and understand situational factors impacting internationalizing businesses, including political issues, social developments, and environmental concerns.
  • Inquisitive, open to new ideas, a self-starter who is adaptable to new situations and able to multitask.
  • Respectful of cultural, political, and socio-economic differences and diversity, and able to lead communications and collaborations effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills to set priorities and meet goals.
  • Good team player who can take lead in your assigned portfolio and support other colleagues in the respective work streams.
