Job Title: Associate Director Medical Affairs

GRIFOLS ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director Medical Affairs to lead our Medical Affairs team in Southeast and South Asia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute local medical affairs plans in alignment with global medical affairs plans and local business objectives.
  • Manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and support their development for optimal performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with scientific thought leaders in the region.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, providing medical content and summaries as needed.
  • Manage scientific events, including regional advisory boards and other scientific meetings.
  • Provide medical content for medical education programs for clinicians externally and internally.
  • Participate in internal training programs to promote medical and scientific understanding of our products.
  • Attend local and regional medical conferences and provide reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide scientific responses to medical enquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Represent the company at strategic meetings and medical affairs meetings.
  • Ensure the accuracy of medical content in marketing materials and participate in the sign-off process.
  • Manage country-level research programs, including ISR, RWE, research grants, and educational grants.
  • Partner with Patient Advocacy, Regulatory, and Market Access to support country/regional needs.
  • Manage budget and ensure compliance with Grifols processes and regulations.
Requirements:
  • PhD, MD, or PharmD with advanced knowledge in the respective scientific field(s) is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar regional Medical Affairs position in the pharma industry is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical basics with highest ethical standards.
  • Scientific understanding, including literature, clinical, and basic research.
  • Experience managing a team and working with 3rd party contractors is preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and influence.
  • Advanced communication and relationship building skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written).
  • Computer skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Southeast and South Asia and globally as required.
