Flavour Innovation Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Flavour Innovation Specialist to join our dynamic team in Singapore.

About the Role

This is an exciting and highly focused creative role where you will be at the forefront of beverage flavour innovation for the Southeast Asian market. Your primary mission will be the creation of new and winning sweet flavours specifically for beverage applications, based on internal projects, customer briefings, and your own inspiration.

  • Develop unique flavour profiles and match competitor products with analytical support.
  • Modify and perfect existing flavour recipes to meet specific customer, technological, or legal requirements.
  • Manage key internal and customer-led projects, driving innovation from concept to completion.
  • Conduct organoleptic evaluations of new raw materials and flavour creations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams on customer visits and presentations, providing expert technical support.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from lab to factory by supporting initial production of new flavours.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of successful experience as a Flavourist, with a sustained history of new project wins.
  • Specialized experience in creating beverage flavours for the Southeast Asian market is highly preferred.
  • A University Degree or Advanced Diploma in food science, chemistry, or a related field is required.
  • Knowledge of flavour and food regulations in various countries.
  • Deep understanding of raw materials, ingredient costing, functionality, and stability.
  • Proficiency in organoleptic evaluation techniques and an advanced understanding of analytical methods (GC, HPLC, MS).
  • Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia to support sales and customer projects.
