Optoelectronics Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Optoelectronics Business Development Manager to join our team at The Supreme HR Advisory Pte Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise in sales, leadership, and process automation to drive business growth and expansion in the Optoelectronics industry.
About the Role
As an Optoelectronics Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our customer base. You will work closely with our design teams, operations, and site support teams to deliver customer satisfaction and timeline deliveries. Your primary focus will be on cultivating and developing industry contacts, building up potential pipelines/prospects, and achieving set revenue and margin goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop a Sales Strategy Plan for business expansion and penetration into the Optoelectronics market segment.
- Pursue and screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials.
- Build up a quality pipeline of prospects worth at least 5-10 times the yearly set targets.
- Attend to Request for Quote (RFQ) process, from obtaining the BOM and proposing a quotation for Management review.
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Identify diversification business opportunities and expand customer bases.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed as an Optoelectronics Business Development Manager, you should have:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or relevant field.
- Possess knowledge or past experiences in industrial automation, robotics, vision systems, IIoT, assembly and test process automation solutions.
- Minimum 3 years sales experience servicing the Optoelectronics industry.
- Regional travelling is expected.
