This position plays a pivotal role in the organization's mission to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt to diverse situations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Caregiver Support: To provide meaningful engagement and support to clients, focusing on activities of daily living, home living skills, community living & mobility skills, social and recreational skills, and work readiness skills.
  • Client/Trainee Management & Development: To develop and implement individual learning programmes through professional assessment, continuous evaluation and training, planning and implementing group activities, and monitoring trainees' security and safety procedures.
  • Collaboration with Allied Health Professionals: To monitor and implement health fitness & wellness programmes, motivational & behaviour management plans, and sensory awareness designed by allied health professionals, while communicating critical information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Administrative & Operations: To support operational and logistics management, ensure centre/trainees safety and security, update client/trainee attendance and participation in various platforms, engage in caregiver dialogue sessions and maintain good rapport and communication with parents/caregivers, and attend staff meetings and training as required.
  • Event Management: To organize internal/external events and activities for trainees, support volunteer engagement events, public education activities, and MINDS events at an organizational level.

The successful candidate will be assigned to oversee duties such as camp, festive celebrations, sports events, first aid & medicare, evacuation & emergency planning team, transport duties, staff welfare, and others, providing assistance to other staff when required.

Requirements
  • Minimum O levels qualification.
  • NITEC Certificate in Community Care & Social Services (ITE).
  • Certificate of Special Needs Education (MOE).
  • Diploma of Special Education (MOE).
  • Diploma in Disability Studies (SSI).
  • Diploma of Community Services (SSI).

Skills Required:

  • Computer literacy skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • People-oriented team player.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion and patience to work with people with intellectual disabilities.
