Volunteer Program Manager

Are you a motivated and organized individual with experience in volunteer management? We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of our volunteer programs. This role will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day management of our volunteer operations, ensuring they effectively support our service units.

This position requires a proactive leader with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of supporting colleagues and volunteers in curating good volunteer experiences and building community partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social sciences and relevant experience in social service or similar settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement volunteer management policies, processes, and culture across our organization.
  • Lead the development and build capability of staff to better manage volunteers.
  • Build and maintain a pool of dedicated volunteers to support all our service units.
  • Conduct needs analysis with service units, including risk assessment, role descriptions, and continuity planning.
  • Oversee volunteer recruitment, registration, screening, and interviews in collaboration with our service units.
  • Coordinate onboarding programs in collaboration with our service units.
  • Develop and oversee volunteer training and capability development programs.
  • Lead volunteer evaluation sessions and organize appreciation events.
  • Lead and implement risk mitigation strategies and plans in collaboration with our service units.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in social service or similar settings.
  • Proficiency in report writing and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication.
  • Creative, proactive, and resourceful.
