The Facility Operations Specialist is a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our facility's systems.
Key responsibilities include conducting regular checks and inspections of SCADA systems for water treatment, cooling water, and other process control systems. This involves monitoring system performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions to prevent downtime and optimize system performance.
Additionally, the Facility Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing water analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards, replenishing operational consumables, and performing routine equipment maintenance. They will also support monthly sample submissions for regulatory compliance and execute project installations, machine modifications, and productivity improvements to enhance facility efficiency.
Other key responsibilities include providing operational training and guidance to new team members, submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports to supervisors, and ensuring compliance with ISO operating procedures and safe practices.
Requirements for this role include a NITEC or higher qualification in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, experience with SCADA systems for process control (although not essential), proficiency in basic Microsoft Office, and English language skills. Candidates must also be able to work in a cleanroom environment and adapt to 12-hour shift arrangements. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in teams are also essential.
