Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance of the club's facilities, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and upkeep. This includes general building cleanliness, housekeeping, landscaping, general maintenance, and overall building operations.

Additionally, this role involves managing outsourced service providers during servicing/maintenance works, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with contract requirements.

The successful candidate will conduct regular inspections, report defects and safety non-compliance, determine the necessity of repair/maintenance works, and recommend improvements to ensure optimal building condition.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building or Facilities Management, or Estate Management
  • Certification in Swimming Pool, Horticulture Maintenance, and Operation (an added advantage)
  • Minimum 4 years related working experience
  • Knowledge of repair, service, and troubleshooting work of mechanical and electrical systems/equipment in the swimming pool mechanical plant room
  • Ability to communicate clearly and team player

The ideal candidate should be able to:

  • Supervise and inspect contractor work effectively with minimum disruptions to the club's daily operations
  • Conduct daily inspections for security and safety breaches and give recommendations and training to improve safety and security awareness
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and source spares or recommend alternative spares for cost savings
  • Respond promptly to facility/operation technical faults/breakdown and investigate feedback and complaints from tenants and members
