Job Title: Sous Chef

About the Role:

GFSG PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key player in our kitchen's success, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes, and supervising and training kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  2. Prepare high-quality dishes in line with our restaurant's standards, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
  3. Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure they meet our culinary standards.
  4. Ensure adherence to food hygiene and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
  5. Contribute to menu development and food presentation, working closely with the Head Chef to create innovative and appealing dishes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and culinary equipment.
  3. Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  4. Creative mindset for menu development and food presentation.
  5. Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  6. Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends.
