Job Title: Sous Chef
About the Role:
GFSG PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key player in our kitchen's success, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes, and supervising and training kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Prepare high-quality dishes in line with our restaurant's standards, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure they meet our culinary standards.
- Ensure adherence to food hygiene and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
- Contribute to menu development and food presentation, working closely with the Head Chef to create innovative and appealing dishes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and culinary equipment.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Creative mindset for menu development and food presentation.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends.
